CBN recovers over N51.9bn illegally deducted by commercial banks and returns it to the customers.

The Central bank Nigeria has recovered the said amount of money which were illegally deducted from the customer’s account by most Nigeria Commercial banks in all part of the country. These ill acts by the other banks were bitterly condemned by the chief bank (CBN) because it depicts the country’s banking standard and harm the poor masses. The CBN Acting Director, corporate communications, Mr. Isaac Okorafor, made these open without fear or favor in Port Harcourt during an ongoing interactive section with many stakeholders, south-south zone, and other Union leaders. Bello Sani Is Dead

Member representing Mashi/Dvisi federal constituency of Katsina state in the House of Representatives, Bello Sani, is dead. The legislator, believed to be 51years old, reportedly died on Wednesday. According to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, the late Bello was compassionate, principled, and interacted freely with all members. While announcing the death, Dogara said: “With great sadness, I receive the news of the death of Hon. Militancy Deprived Nigeria Of $100bn In 2016

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, has said the country lost as much as $100bn in revenue last year as attacks by militants in the oil-rich Niger Delta cut crude output to a record low. Kachikwu, who stated this on Tuesday in his monthly broadcast posted on his Facebook page with the title: ‘Oil sector militancy challenges: Road map to closure’, said the nation’s oil production fell by as high as one million barrels per day sometimes last year. He said as part of ongoing efforts to end the militancy challenges in the oil sector, the ministry had come up with a 20-point agenda. The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has launched a mobile application that will aid anonymous whistle blowing for corrupt practices happening both within government agencies and parastatal as well as the private sectors. The chairman of the commission, Ekpo Nta launched the App in Abuja on February 13, 2017. The App called ‘Wahala Dey’ is available on android mobiles, blackberry mobiles and windows mobiles and can be downloaded at no cost to users. Nta while addressing newsmen shortly before the launch stated that criminal activities can only thrive when an opportunity to act is provided.
