Mourinho to sell Rooney and two other star players to raise £100m for Antoine Griezmann


Premier League club Manchester United have been said to be considering selling three star players named Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Marouane Fellaini to raise whopping sum of £100 million for the summer purchase of Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.

According to the report, it was explained that Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney is expected to complete a mega money to the Chinese Super League in the summer.

Rooney, 31, has 18 months left on his current contract with United and it has been widely reported that a Chinese Super League club have offered him £1 million a-week deal.

French footballer Anthony Martial and Belgian international Marouane Fellaini would also face the exit doors at Old trafford for the Red Devils to lure Griezmann to the club.

Anthony Martial has fallen out of favor with current gaffer Jose Mourinho, and French side Paris Saint Germain have been reportedly interested to sign him in the summer.

On the other hand, Belgian international Marouane Fellaini who recently signed a one-year extension deal at Old trafford could also be on his way to Italian side AC Milan.

Soldiers arrest suspected robbery kingpins in Abia

Soldiers of the 14 Brigade, Ohafia, Abia State has arrested two suspected robbery kingpins who have allegedly been terrorizing motorists along Opobo – Azumini highway, in Ukwa East council area. It was gathered that the suspected robbery kingpin, Victor John and Nsikak Johnson, were nabbed by soldiers at a checkpoint along Azumini highway and handed over to Abia State Police Command. The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Leye Oyebade, who confirmed the handover of the suspects to the police, said, “The synergy of the Abia State Police Command with sister agencies paid off, when officers of the Nigerian Army, 14 Brigade, Ohafia, on checkpoint at Azumini Road in Ukwa East, arrested the suspects and handed over to the operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Section of the State Criminal and Intelligence Department. They confessed to the crime and effort is being intensified to arrest other members of their gang.”
